snapchat recap: let’s make migas! {video}

I often feel like I’m running a marathon to keep up with social media. The constant training to stay relevant. I don’t think it’s just me, though. There’s simply too much demand required to feed the 24/7 culture we now live in. Regardless, one thing that drives me in everything I do is to just be myself. It’s for that very reason that I waited until recently to start using snapchat. I wasn’t sure how I could balance one more thing that considering I already feel pressed for time.

Like any relationship, once you find the value in it, you find a way to make it work. I’m genuinely having a great time connecting with those of you who have joined me there. One of the great things about snapchat, from my perspective, is that I can share insights on how I cook behind the scenes, and when I’m off the clock. I love the spur of the moment, off the cuff feeling of sharing life’s unplanned moments. Also, for someone who works from home, connecting with people instantly makes my work world feel less solitary. Here’s a peek at one morning a couple of weeks ago. I came home from dropping the kids off at school, was famished, and decided to rustle up a quick bowl of migas to prepare for a long day of writing.  Hope you all enjoy!

    Love your snapchat videos! Definitely making your pork in the tomato based sauce soon. It is an inspiration for me to get in the kitchen. Thanks for all of your tips too!

    Okay, so that’s hilarious. Auto-correct will be the death of me! Thanks for letting me know, since my faulty eyes did not catch it!

    This looks so good! And without that cheese it satisfies my soy, dairy, gluten free diet I’m following (I have an infant that is very affected by what I eat!). Also, I love your snap chat, so thanks for sharing the moments of your day 🙂
