On the second day of Christmas my true love gave to me…almost $600 for my favorite charity. That's not bad for a sleepy Monday and start to the 12 Days of Sharing. Today kicks off a roster of amazing co-hosts, many of whom I'm honored to know in real life. So, speaking of sharing, today's co-host is Jen Schall over at My Kitchen Addiction. What can I say about this gal? Well, first of all, you already know her because she's a contributor here at In Jennie's Kitchen. She also designed our lovely banner and badge for the 12 Days of Sharing campaign. Now, here's something you may not know. Jen is one of the sweetest people I've ever met, and she radiates kindness and caring. She's prepared some caramel nutella crisps to share with us today, so go check out the recipe—it's sure to be a keeper.

There's been lots of activity in the virtual cookie jar too, including these chocolate dipped caramel pecan bars from Alice over at Savory Sweet Life. I adore Alice, and will not hold it against her for sending me this photo first thing this morning.
Luckily, I exercised self-control, wiped the drool from my mouth and went ahead with oatmeal as planned. I do, however, reserve the right to eat them on Christmas morning. Today, I'm also featuring a cookie I blogged about for the launch of Gourmet, Unbound. These basic butter cookies are so versatile, you can make all the cookies you see below with just one dough.
Now, that's a busy baker's best friend. Tune in tomorrow and meet Diana from A Little Bit of Spain in Iowa, and don't forget to submit your own recipe for the virtual cookie jar and make a donation so no kid goes hungry this holiday season.
P.S. Christmas came early last night while I was working on this project. I'm delighted to share the great news that In Jennie's Kitchen is a featured blogger at Oprah.com this holiday season. I'm excited and thrilled to be in very good company with Shauna, who'll be co-hosting 12 Days of Sharing with me next week.
