Chickpea Fennel Tartine created for Dress It Up Dressing.

In Jennie’s Kitchen was founded in 2009, as a way for me to step outside of editorial schedules (hello, turkey in July!), and share what I was cooking from the farmers’ market for my own family. In the seven years since, I’ve written my own cookbook, ghost written a couple of more, served as the Consulting Food Editor at Working Mother magazine, and contributed to a variety of print & online publications and food websites, including Food Network, Relish, Food 52, Cuisinart, Parade, and Parenting. In Jennie’s Kitchen has received praise from Food 52, Saveur, Fine Cooking, Serious Eats, Bon Appetit, and Oprah.com.

Why In Jennie’s Kitchen & Jennifer Perillo

At its core, food is about people. The ingredients we choose, the recipes we cook—in large part they’re the vehicles to say something words can’t always express: I care. Every meal is a chance to be in the moment and share an experience with the people around your table. This is the essence of In Jennie’s Kitchen. I’m a story teller, weaving together my own experiences with recipes being the fabric that hold the quilt of my narrative together. This is why long time readers come back year after year; well-tested, innovative recipes are a delicious bonus.

Recipe Development & Editing

Are you looking to promote your product or brand with innovative recipes that will appeal to a wide range of home cooks? I work with companies on one-time recipe development projects, as well as on-going recipe development series.

Working on a cookbook and need an expert eye to make sure your recipe successfully comes to life in home kitchens? My recipe development work covers a wide array of diets, including dairy-free, gluten-free, egg-free, and refined sugar-free. I’m available to develop and write the recipes, or as a copy editor for cookbook manuscripts. My Recipe Development Portfolio is available below.

Collaborations & Sponsorships

In Jennie’s Kitchen has a loyal and engaged following. Collaborations and sponsorships are reserved for brands that I use in my own kitchen, and naturally fit into my own cooking habits and lifestyle. In addition to collaborating on sponsored content here at In Jennie’s Kitchen, ad space is also available in my quarterly magazine, City Girl, Country Kitchen. My media kit is available on request for more detailed information on my social stats and previous partnerships.

New Media Consulting

You’ve got a great product, now you just need help marketing it. I can help grow your presence in the marketplace with an authentic voice, including writing blog and website content that highlights your product in a clear, concise, and fresh way. Trying to navigate Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, and the next new social media app that comes along? Yes, I’ve got that covered, too. Working with me also offers access to my engaged social media audience.

Food Photography

Speaking Engagements & Events

Need someone who speaks from the heart, is passionate about their profession, and has real-life information to share about recipe development, food writing, and how to tell a genuine story via social media? Looking for a speaker who can motivate a crowd to see beyond the moment they’re in to get to where they want to be? I’ve done speaking engagements with groups large and small, including group panels at BlogHer Food, solo sessions at Type-A Parent, and intimate roundtable gatherings at Food Blog Forum.

Let’s get started. You can reach me injennieskitchen@gmail.com with all questions & inquiries.
